Airline Paint Jobs~

Ever seen an aircraft painted with cartoons or some movie scenes on it? I remember there’s one in New Zealand that painted with the characters of Lord of The Rings :). Here are some amazing aircraft ‘nose art’ photos. Enjoy~

Some are cute, some are funny and some are nice or whatever. I wish that one day i can sit inside a plane with Lord of the Ring theme…haha.

I saw the Air New Zealand Lord of the Rings plane sitting on the tarmac at Auckland airport when I flew in there once … couldn’t get a photo unfortunately. Qantas has a few planes with aboriginal style paintwork on them, I think they are Balarinji designs (something like that).

These artwork of the skies take anywhere from 3 to 6 days of intensive work just painting them. They are indeed quite amazing. I just hope they won’t turn out into big billboard and will retain a more artistic approach.

I always like to see which animals are painted on the tails of Frontier Airlines. They seem to have a lot of different animals, because I’ve never seen two of the same type next to each other.

Or maybe they plan that out ahead of time? Who knows.
