I’m gonna watch this movie this Thursday. Have you watch it? How was it?

This was one of the movies that I watched recently, Perfume – The story of a murderer. Here is the synopsis of the movie:

Based on the bestselling novel by Patrick Süskind, “Perfume” is a story of murder and obsession set in 18th-century France. Jean-Baptiste Grenouille (Ben Whishaw) has a unique talent for discerning the scents and smells that swirl around him, which he uses to create the world’s finest perfumes. Strangely lacking any scent of his own, he becomes obsessed with capturing the irresistible but elusive aroma of young womanhood. As Grenouille’s obsession turns deadly, twelve young girls are found murdered. Panic breaks out as people rush to protect their daughters, while an unrepentant and unrelenting Grenouille still lacks the final ingredient to complete his quest.

The story started with Jean-Baptiste Grenouille being held in jail. He was cursed by a crowd that were more than thousands that wanted him to be executed because of the murders he did.

He was a slave and an orphan. He had a very unique talent that he can smell and recognize every scents around him. Everyone thinks that he’s a paranoid or something. Then he met a girl that he accidentally killed her.

He was obsessed by the smell of the girl and went searching for ways to preserve the smell of everything, including the human scent. He met a perfume maker and made him a fortune by making the best perfumes ever with his talent. Then he travel to the city of Rome and met another girl that have the scent that obsess him.

This is the main actress of the movie. Pretty huh?

In the end, Jean-Baptiste Grenouille finally found a way to preserve human scent – by killing them and wrapping them with wax (I think it’s wax) and distill it. He wanted to make the best perfume ever that when everyone smells it, they thought they were in heaven! And so he began to kill the girls to preserve the smell which were 12 of them, into bottles like this.

He created a mass chaos where everyone was scared to be alone at night, fearing that they will be killed. Some of them even killed each other suspecting that they were the killer. What surprises me is that the ending was shocking. I don’t want to spoil your mood by telling you about it but the hint is, the perfume did the trick!

I would recommend you to watch this movie because the storyline is really great. My friend recommended me to watch the movie but I didn’t expect much when I was in the theater because I can’t even find a banner or poster of the movie at Cineleisure! What surprises me the most is that there were some “scene” that was not being censored, but some parts in the ending was totally cut of which I don’t even know what happened. Another recommendation is buy a dvd or download the movie which I am going to do soon. The last scene is really something you need to see which will make your jaw drop down

He was captured by the China Government in the last season. He was badly beaten up and tortured by the Chinese just to get some information out of him. Then, Day 6 begun… Yes, my favorite TV series, 24 season 6 had returned with day 6! The premiere of this season was scheduled at 14th of January but some how the first four episodes were leaked and I think the whole internet citizens had downloaded all of them and watched it, including me~ hehe..

FOX TV will release a “Season 6 Premiere” DVD on January 16 in the United States and Canada. The DVD will include all 4 opening episodes and a twelve minute preview to the fifth episode. However on January 6, all 4 episodes were leaked onto the internet by people who obtained the “Season 6 Premiere” DVD.

What about this season? The season starts with a 10 minutes preview of what happen to Jack Bauer after being captured by the Chinese. The preview involves the Chinese official Cheng Zhi attempting to determine which one of two Chinese agents works for the U.S. government by interrogating and torturing Jack Bauer. Then, it is the starting of day 6 where there were a lot of suicide bombers in the U.S. killing lots of innocent citizens. Jack was released and transfered back to the States by the order of the U.S. President (Oh my god.. Wayne Palmer is the U.S. President now…).

The storyline of the first 3 episodes were actually quite slow and erm… BORING. Jack was not in a good condition due to the torturing by the Chinese and also the terrorists (you will see this in the first episode). It is the first time I have ever seen Jack in such weak condition. His response was slow, he can’t even interrogate the terrorists like the way he used to. But something serious happened at the end of the 4th hour, a nuke (hint.. I’ve written too much spoilers here I think, so better end it up).

I’ve been following 24 since the season 1. Why I like this series so much? The reason is, you don’t get to watch a US TV series that have an ending every season like 24. Series like LOST, Alias, Prison Break… they just keep on continue and continue every season without a proper ending to it. Unlike those never ending series, 24 always gives the audience a satisfying ending to all the terrorist attacks, although bad things always happen to Jack at the end of the season.

Enough said, get ready for the 4 hours premiere of 24 Season 6 on the 14th and 15th of January on FOX. Hopefully this would be the best season ever!

Few days ago, Shin and I went to watch this cartoon, Flushed Away. The story is about a pet mouse named Roddy St. James who lived in a rich family, being flushed out from his home by another filthy sewer rat named Sid. Roddy was trying to fool Sid of getting into the toilet bowl (which he lied to him as a Jacuzzi) but he was the one who flushed away into the bustling world down below. Underground, Roddy discovers a vast metropolis, where he meets Rita, a street-wise rat who is on a mission of her own. If Roddy is going to get home, he and Rita will need to escape the clutches of the villainous Toad, who royally despises all rodents and has dispatched two hapless henchrats, Spike and Whitey, as well as his cousin–that dreaded mercenary, Le Frog–to see that Roddy and Rita are iced, literally.

The cartoon is not bad actually. The songs are nice and its really funny. But if you really want to watch this movie, don’t watch the trailer because most of the funny stuffs are shown in the trailer. This makes the movie just a bit dull for me. Luckily the storyline is not that boring and there are some other funny stuffs that you won’t see from the trailer.

As I remember when I saw the trailer quite long ago, Roddy had 2 servants who served him. But in the actual movie, he’s all alone in a big house as a pet. Am I wrong then? Hmm..

This movie is very entertaining. Best for those who need to relax without thinking their brains out just to figure out the storyline. Haha~

Have you ever heard the classical music Canon? Well this is a remix from a guy named Jerry C with his electric guitar. Oh man he rawks! How I wish I can play a guitar like that~ He composed the song in a very impressive way I might say. Enjoy it!

The hottest car racing movie of the year –> The Fast & The Furious: Tokyo Drift. My friends and I went for this movie last night at GSC 1Utama. While waiting for the movie to start, the place become a Teluk Intan gathering as I saw Chee Seng, Huei Ting and even Darling at the same time. Jeezz….

Ok back to the movie. The main actor Lucas Black plays the role of Sean Boswell, a teenager who got into troubles in the States and got transfered to Tokyo to prevent from getting into jail. Then he got involved into underground drift racing which then turns into illegal stuffs like mafias and so on.

Since there are some scenes similiar to Initial-D, you can really compare the difference between Hollywood movie making with HongKong’s. Even the ending is almost the same! lol.. Great movie I say.. Worth some time to watch it.

The only entertainment for me in KL is just watching movies in the cinema. Last Wednesday, my friends and I went to 1U for the movie, The Omen.

Its all about a kid being possesed by demon (or is he the demon himself?). The producers did a great job in advertising the movies.. launching the movie on the date 06.06.06 would just makes everyone thinking that its a horror movie.

Maybe the movie is a remake of the 1976 version, that makes it so.. err.. BORING! The storyline runs in a “slow-mo” mode and then just shock you in the middle of silence. That’s all. Then its some scene where they saw their death in the photos.. is this Final Destination 3 or what?? Maybe FD3 copied the tricks after all.. lol.. The ending, you should know that there will be no happy ending as this movie have 2 more episodes to go. What a great movie to pass my boring times~

Speaking of passing my boring times, we went to watch movies again the next day. We went to the new Cineleisure in Mutiara Damansara which just opened a few weeks ago. Although its named Cineleisure, there’s only 10 cinemas in the whole building, which is lesser than GSC in 1U.. lol. Tired of watching stupid horror movies, we watched this!

Oh ya.. its the Benchwarmers~! Its about 3 nerds try and make up for missed opportunities in childhood by forming a three-player baseball team to compete against standard little league squads.

The whole cinema burst into laughter as soon as the movie started. The nerds are really damn funny and the 3 of us just can’t stop laughing until can’t catch our breath. Seriously, this movie is much entertaining if compared to The Omen.

After movie, the 3 of us went to a cafe for some beers in The Curve.

And me… 6 bottles of Heineken costs us Rm100+.. zzz This is freakin expensive~! Luckily they 2 treated me for it. Loon is having his offday today. I’m sure we gonna watch Blacknight, another horror movie later as he was so eager to watch it last week..

Its the end for 24 season 5~! I just watched the finale last night as I have to download it slowly.. lol.. The finale is mainly about the whole day’s terrorism doings was done by the President Logan. Damn~ Can a president do something like this? Selling nerve gas to the terrorist, assasination on the ex-president David Palmer, etc.. And this is among the last scene where Jack Bauer confronted the president to confess his doings face to face.

The president will not confess for sure. Jack convinced him that he can’t make him talk but placed a microcip recorder in the president’s shirt. In the end, the president accidentally confessed all his doing when he was quarrelling with his wife and the conversation was recorded through the recorder. Finally President Logan is being taken down for good!

Jack on the other hand, had a great kiss and hug with Audrey, but was being captured by the chinese secret agents in the end. He was accused for killing the Chinese Ambassador in the last season. (Read some summary in my previous post.) A sad ending… where there’s never any happy ending before for 5 seasons.. lol..

I read something on the net about a hidden message by the producers. There’s a scene before Jack was captured when the CTU director Buchanan passed a photo to Chloe, there’s some words on the back of the photo before she unfold to look at it.

See the words? Read from bottom to top and backwards. “JACK IS DEAD… PHONE… %$#!%@$#”

Coincidence? Oh yeah you bet it..

Day 6 will be on air in January 2007. Can’t wait for it!

Went to the Tebrau City Jusco for movies this afternoon. Its the biggest Jusco in whole Malaysia I think. The photo above is really funny. Why? Because my friends called me devil and the poster of the new movie titled “The Devil Wears Prada”… Coincidence? lol.. So we went there around 2 something and watched Underworld Revolution. The movie? If you never watch the first one before then better don’t watch it because the story is continued from the previous ones. I watched the previous one long time ago and there’s some flashback in the movie about it. The movie is about Vampires fighting against Licans (wearwolves… this spelling?). So the head of the Vampire is trying to get the key to release his brother, which was turned into a Lican long time ago and being caged by other Vampires. So as usual you’ll see the gal turns into the hero to save the world.. hehe.. overall.. the movie is just so so only but the fighting scenes are quite exciting.

After the movie, we walked around Jusco because the next movie was at 6.20pm. We went into the bookshop and spent the time reading some books there. The bookshop even have seats for the customers to get a book and read there. Strange huh? Its like a library already.. lol.. I found a book about Google, the internet search provider and spent the whole time reading about The Story about Google. Its quite interesting reading about 2 PHD students made their success in building the world’s best search engine.

After dinner, its movie time again! The movie is… V for Vendieta~ If you’re looking for actions scenes, then the movie will be a big disappointment for you as there’s only very little of actions in the movie. Its all about the hero, Vendieta, trying to help the citizens of England to fight against the government. In the movie, the high chanselor of the country is almost like Hitler. Monopoly against everything in the country and making up lies to calm the people. And so this masked Vendieta is here to save the day~! I just felt pity for the main actor as no 1 will know how he actually look like because he never take his mask off in the whole movie. Guess who’s the actor? I don’t know.. lol.. And he wears a funny mask but acts like Matrix.. the storyline is quite interesting as well.. So if you ask me to vote for the 2 movies, I’ll vote for Vendieta.

Oh ya.. my sister is still on the journey to Folsom, California now. Her company sends her there for training again I guess. So won’t be seeing her around until end of the year then. Take care lo sis~!

24, the most awaited tv series is finally back. Now with season 5!!! I’m so excited for this series as this is the most anticipated tv series of all time. I’ve been following this tv series since the 1st season. Every episode in a season covers the events of one hour in that day (hence twenty four episodes per season). The whole series is about stopping terrorists attacks in one whole day, which is 24 hours. Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) acts as CTU (Counter Terrorist Unit) field officer, which faked his death in the end of 4th season as he was wanted by the China Government and also wanted death by the President of US. And now in the 5th day, (its the 5th day because each season is 1 day in Jack’s life) he is wanted again of being set up for killing the former President of the United States (Ooops… spoilers!!). Here’s some info for the previous seasons.

I just finished watching the 1st 2 episodes of the 5th season. FOX tv had 4hours premiere of this series where 2 episodes on the night of 15th January and another 2 episodes on the 16th. My heart was pounding so fast while watching it as its so thrilling and the storyline was awesome! It have to be the best tv series ever! Now I’m waiting for the next 2 episodes and will be starting to download it tonight.
