Chelsea’s goalkeeper Petr Cech underwent surgery for a depressed fracture of the skull after being knocked unconscious in Chelsea’s victory at Reading on Saturday.
Cech was injured in a first-minute collision with Stephen Hunt at the Madejski Stadium, whose boot caught Cech on the head when he went to collect the ball. Later on in the injury time, Carlo Cudicini, the replacement goalkeeper was also knocked out following a collision with Ibrahima Sonko. What a shock! The game was held up for nearly 10 minutes as Cudicini received treatment and he was carried off with his neck in a brace, wearing an oxygen mask.

After 64 football matches, the World Cup 2006 Champion is born~! Italy won the 2006 World Cup after defeating the French with 5-3 penalty shootouts. It was a great match. France was awarded a penalty in the 7th minute after Materazzi’s trip on Florent Malouda and Zidane scored the penalty leading France with 1-0 lead. By the 19th minute, however, Materazzi had made amends, the big defender heading the equaliser from Andrea Pirlo’s corner.

Marco Materazzi, the hero who scored the equalizer.

For the first time in the team’s history, Miami Heat won the NBA Champion title in Game 6 against Dallas Mavericks. Dallas was leading the 7 game series with 2-0 but Miami then claimed the title by winning 4 games in a row. Dwayne Wade who scored 43 points in game 5, scored 36 points in game 6, helping Miami to win the title.

Sad sad… Detroit Pistons lost to the Miami Heat in the eastern conference finals with a score of 78-95 in Game 6. Miami Heat is now in the finals after leading with 4-2 wins in the 7 games series. Richard Hamilton scored a sky high 33 points but he was the only player who scored more than 10 points. Billups was definitely in a low form in this game which he only scored 9 points. I guess this really proved that Miami is a better team after all.
“Miami played great,” Hamilton said. “They deserved it.”
Its the match that we had waited for all time, Chelsea versus Barcelona! Well Barcelona had won the previous match where they scored 2 away goals over with 1 home goal from Chelsea. So this match its either Chelsea needs to score at least 2 away goals in order to win the match to enter the semifinals of the Champions League. The matched started at 3.45am and my housemates and I were staying awake just to watch it.

I just finish watching the match and its already 2am. Chelsea was unbeatable with Robben and Joe Cole scores a goal each and won over Arsenal with the score of 2-0. Chelsea did a marvelous job on defending in the whole game. Van Persie of Arsenal did score a goal in the 1st half but unfortunately Thierry Henry was offside at that moment. The goal should be counted as the scorer was not offside at all~! Its the referee’s call so there’s nothing can be done. Its a must win game for Arsenal for challenging the championship but now its goodbye before Christmas for them. I doubt that they can enter the Champions League next year… Its been a bad season for them after all.. Chelsea is now 20points ahead of Arsenal and is in the lead of the season. The only team that can compete with them is Manchester United trailing with a few points.

Can’t wake up early today since the weather was so nice to sleep.. haha.. So I watched the game between L.A. Lakers and Washington Wizards. Quite boring game at the 1st half since both team scoring percentage is only 25%~! All the players keep shooting the ball whenever had the chance but they just cannot score it~ By 2nd half, Kobe Bryant is really on fire. At the end the Lakers defeated the Wizards with 96-91. Kobe scores 41 points and grabbed eight rebounds and won seven of their last eight games! It is the 5th time in this season where Kobe scores more than 40 points. The Wizards on the other hand, Gilbert Arenas scored 29 points and Caron Butler contributed 20 points for the Wizards, who have lost four of their last five games… haha~

I just finish watching the replay of the basketball game just now. Woke up late this morning so didn’t get to watch it. Its the game between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Denver Nuggets.
Its the 5th time for both of the 2 most talkabout players to match up, LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony. James scored 26 points and got enough help from his teammates to lead Cleveland past the Denver Nuggets with 94-85. Anthony scored 23 to lead Denver but shot just 8-of-23. As the commentators said, James will be the youngest player to achieve the MVP award if he gets it in 3years time because the youngest MVP player in the record now is 23years old. James is going to be 21 at the end of the month. Sigh… He’s a few months younger than me and look at his achievements! Top player in the NBA man~
Chelsea vs Bolton.. what a game! went for supper around 1am.. n saw the replay of the match.. watched the most exciting 20mins of the game.. where chelsea scored 5 goals in a row! they are really unbeatable! Drogba and Lampard scored 2 goals both while Gudjohnsen scored 1.. duno how they fired up the spirit although they were behind by 1 goal before that..
But Mourinho’s gamble to play with just three defenders at the back paid dividends in the 52nd minute when Didier Drogba fired the ball home after Bolton goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen had failed to hold Frank Lampard’s 20-yard free-kick.
