What is Brontok? It’s a virus from the I-worm family. The virus is spread through the network so basically all the pc in a single network will be infected immediately once the infected pc connects into the network. What it does is creating new files which looked like a folder but its actually a .exe file. Unless you’ve enabled the view extensions in the folder options or else you won’t see the .exe extension of the file. The files are approximately 43.7Kb each and normally people will click to open them because they looked like a folder. So after you’ve open it, the virus will run each time during startup and keep on spreading and spreading… into the hard drives.
More troubles coming up. Normally when you click “Tools” in explorer, there’s a “folder options” underneath it. Once the pc is infected with the virus, the Folder Options will be missing, which disabled you to change the options to view the extension of the files. So when you see a new folder appeared from nowhere and you clicked to open it out of curiousity, the virus spread more again. Moreover, the virus disabled the registry edit where you will see this message “Registry edit is disabled by the administrator” everytime you try to edit the registry.
So how to clean the virus then? I found some solution from Symantec.

See the google.com at that area? It is said that the search engine just crawled on the site, where we’ll able to search the results of the forum by typing the url of it. Currently there is still no result in google after i tried to search my forum in it. Hopefully it’ll show up very soon~
I’m so bored studying here so I suddenly thought of a wishlist of goodies that I wana buy after my final exams. 1st thing I’ll buy is a dvd writer. I think either get a Samsung or LG since they are quite cheap if compare to others. I’ll burn all the TVB series which my housemates downloaded. So many series I don’t think I can finish it all in my one month holiday. 
2nd thing to get is a handphone! Oh yeah! Sony Ericson K750i. Might be getting other phone at the same price I think. The phone price is around RM1.3k now which might be lesser than that I hope. The thing I like about this phone is the built in camera. Its a 2.0 Megapixel camera which is the most advanced built in camera phone so far. But the look of it is so dull. Reminds me of T630. I hope I can get a silver color one but duno is it for sale in Malaysia or not. Need to get a lot of info of this phone 1st. W800i looks a lot better than k750i in my opinion. The back of the phone looks really like a camera. My friend told me that its headphone is even better than Ipod when listening to music. But of course, the price is MUCH higher than k750i. The market price for W800i is around RM1.8k. My friend offered me a O2 mini pda phone which is around RM1650 (2nd hand) which is quite expensive for me. And its used already~ Although its under warranty but I think I’ll use the camera function a lot more than using those pda softwares inside. Actually still blur with these phones. This is the 1st time I’m gona buy a new phone for myself. I’m still using my nokia 8250 handphone which is used by my gf long long time ago. 
i found an article in the forum, and googled about it on the net. It seems that finally there’s some real improvement for our broadband services soon.. New Broadband it is said that there will be a new technology for broadband PLC (Power Line Communication) where it converts the latters existing electricity grid and domestic power lines into a high-speed communications network. The estimated top speed for this service is up to 224Mbps! which is 224times faster than what i’m using now! 
But we really have to wait a long time for it since its going to launch in 2007. Hopefully i can use it asap.. since Streamyx is really giving a lot of headaches to the subscribers… my site is loading so slow lately.. thanks to the TMnuts which had some problems with the cables needed to access international sites.. damn.. my webhost Puffihost is based in US i think.. that’s y loading so slow lately.. haiz..
Well i just received a msg in yahoo IM about Egold under DDOS attack.. it sounds like this..
e-gold is experiencing a distributed denial of service (DDOS) attack that began Tuesday October 18th at around 5:00 east coast US time. We are actively dealing with it and will continue to evaluate and implement countermeasures.
This sort of attack fills the “pipeline” leading to the e-gold site, thereby blocking access to e-gold Users. It does not in any way threaten the integrity or security of the e-gold servers, infrastructure or data. In other words, the accounts, the gold - all the elements of value in e-gold - are intact and unaffected by an attack of this sort.

Its been a terrible day for those who surf ST yesterday.. the database was upgrading and all of us were suppose to finish our surfing because there’s no surf holiday declared.. so this is what i found in the forum which can help those who always stuck then surfing til the 9,19,29… sites.. because the information about how many sites you’ve surfed is updated every 10 sites you surf (after you’ve surfed 10 sites, that info is sent to the database). So just a bit of copy n paste here :P. Why didn’t i see this coming? Its NBA Live 2006 man! I’ve been waiting for this game since NBA live 2005… this time the main feature is on Dwyane Wade from Miami Heat.. he played really well last season.. not like the last game which features only on Carmelo Anthony ( which only played so so last season), the game now even focus on a few more players. Allen Iverson - the scorer, Lebron James - the highflyer, Ben Wallace - the Power center, Steve Nash - the Playmaker, Ray Allen - 3 point shooter and also Kevin Garnett - the Stopper. Seems interesting huh…
i gotta get this game asap man.. hands itchy already… wonder where can i download it through bittorent… lol… but then with my Geforce4 MX 440 graphic card.. dun think i can c the nice graphics engine also.. mayb i’ll soft mod it n c how it works then…
