Google Nexus S~

Google announced the Nexus One successor – the Nexus S yesterday. It seems that Google had dropped HTC and selected Samsung to develop this new Nexus S prior to the success of the Samsung Galaxy S. Need not to say that this phone is very similar to the Galaxy S, but with some additional features.

Nexus S runs on 1GHz Cortex A8 processor with 16GB of internal storage and 512MB of RAM. The screen which is called “Contour Display” is a 4.0″ Super AMOLED screen with support of 800×480 resolution. The screen is actually curved which fits comfortably in the palm of your hand and along the side of your face. Awesome enough? The phone comes with a 5MP camera with assisted flash at the back and a VGA camera at the front. The Nexus S runs on the latest Android 2.3 Gingerbread and supports NFC (Near Fields Communication).

The phone will be available in the US starting 16 December at T-Mobile and Best Buy outlets at $199 (approx. RM626) with 2 years contract or $529 (approx. RM1666) for outright purchase. While in the UK, it will be available few days later on 20th December from Carphone warehouse from £35 (approx. RM173) on contract or £549 outright (approx. RM2717). No news whether the phone will be available in Malaysia or not, but most probably it will be the same like Nexus One which only can be bought directly in Singapore. Sometimes I wonder how Google defines our country, Third World country huh? Damn!~
