PayPerPost had made it again. Now they offering higher paying opportunities for bloggers to earn money from. The highest paying opportunity is up to $1000 so far! What does this mean? It means that you could earn $1000 for a single sponsored post!
But of course, in order to be qualified to write these sponsored posts, your blog must meet the minimum requirements for the particular opportunity. There are a lot of opportunities that my blog can’t even meet the requirements. These requirements includes high alexa ranking and high page rank. In my opinion, this is to ensure the advertisers’ products to be read by more readers from high traffic blogs. For low traffic blogs, bloggers can still earn from writing sponsored posts with low requirements.
By the way, did you know that PayPerPost(aff) only charges a 35% service fee compared to ReviewMe that charges a 100% markup. They are taking half your money for every post! You can get high paying opportunities more often and put more in your pocket with PPP. While for ReviewMe, you only get to write reviews when advertisers want to advertise on your blogs.
Recently, disclosure is required from all bloggers in all their sponsored posts. This type of transparency is to ensure that all readers know that the posts are actually sponsored posts.
So if you have a high traffic blog, what are you waiting for? Sign up at PayPerPost(aff) and writing sponsored posts to blog for money!~

The University organizes career fair from varies of company every year for the students to get some job opportunities. For this year, the career fair was held from 3rd – 5th of March. As normal, everyone dress in their best suits, carrying piles of certificates and resume to the fair, hoping to get shortlisted by the companies involved in the career fair. My housemates and I went to the fair early in the morning on Saturday, seeking for some job opportunities…

After reaching for half an hour, we were asked to sit in the seats for the open ceremony of the career fair.

All the booths were situated behind the small stage. Nothing much for the day. I submitted resumes to some of the companies in my field but until now I don’t get any response from them. Sigh… My friends got calls from those companies and some even already interviewed by a few companies! Hello~! I’m still available here.. anyone want me? :p Never mind then. I’ll keep on applying from other companies online. Hopefully I can get a good job in the future?

These are the brochures I got from the career fair. The biggest company in the career fair was Schlumberger, Alstom, Agilent, Shell, UMW, Petronas and a few more.

Agilent was one of the busiest booth because of their tactics of attracting the students. Nah, Agilent is a big company where everyone wants to get in. They conducted a quiz session and lucky draw for everyone who submitted the resume and the grand prize was a thumbdrive with Agilent logo on it. I only managed to get a canvas bag. Don’t know who so lucky got the thumbdrive though…

Motorola did the same thing too. But I only got a pen because I answered the quiz incorrectly.
Notice the silver pen that glows above? It’s not that useful but it would be life saver when power outages. It can be used as a torch light! Haha~!

Wondering how to draw logos like this using photoshop? Hongkiat wrote some tutorial to draw web2.0 logos which are MyBlogLog and Skype logos lookalike. All you need to do is download a photoshop style from the blog and follow the steps.
I’ve made a logo according to the steps and the logo up there is one of my ‘great’ work haha~! I’ll try making some better look logo for my blog’s header when I have the time. Any comments on the logo?
I received a mail from my web hosting asking me to upgrade my wordpress version if I’m using Wordpress 2.1.1. It appears that a hacker had gained user-level access to one of the servers that powers wordpress.org, and had used that access to modify the download file.
Although not all downloads of 2.1.1 were affected, Wordpress team are declaring the entire version dangerous and have released a new version 2.1.2 that includes minor updates and entirely verified files. So update immediately if you are using version 2.1.1. Hopefully this will not happen again. Damn hackers!~

In case you are wondering why there were no photos from the Chinese New Year this year, keep on wondering then. Because I myself don’t understand why as well~! :p Maybe those traditions that forbid me from celebrating CNY kept me from taking any photos with friends. Never mind then because my sister did took some photos with her new DSLR – Nikon D40.

Sorry Sis, I stole your photo from your blog~! Haha! Click on the photo to get a larger view.
As you can see from the photos, CNY was boring that’s why we ended up playing mahjong everyday. Then others were the food my dad cooked. My niece is already 9 months old and is now able to stand on her own with her hands holding on the table. The center photo is the most famous food from Teluk Intan, Chu Cheong Fun! You won’t find any Chu Cheong Fun like this anywhere in Malaysia other than Teluk Intan. But it was damn expensive. 1 packet costs RM3.40! For something that you can’t find anywhere in Malaysia, I think you will say it worth it after you taste it. I miss Chu Cheong Fun man!
If you are a MyBlogLog user that have been commenting in this blog recently, you will notice that your MyBlogLog avatar will appear just beside your comments. How do I do it? Just use this Wordpress plugin, MyAvatar.
This plugin will show users’ MyBlogLog avatar beside their comments in your blog. In my opinion, it is much better than Gravatar, another plugin that requires user to upload their own avatar to your server in order to show their avatar beside their comments. Who will want to upload their avatar to every blog they comment to?
Wondering how to install this plugin? Just add this code,
<?php if(function_exists("MyAvatars")) MyAvatars(); ?>
in your comments loop in your comments.php file of the theme you are using. For more instruction, visit the author’s site.
You will need to edit the stylesheet if you want the avatar to show at the places you desired. I tried making the avatars to show up just before the name of the commenters but still got a little bit of error. Anyone can help out here?
