HTC Touch HD~

My oh my, HTC is back again with something new. In order to counter the iPhone 3G, they came up with this new model called HTC Touch HD. HD stands for high definition. Why? This baby comes with a 3.8 inch wide, WVGA 480 X 800 pixel screen (iPhone comes with 3.8 inch screen but the resolution is lesser than this). So you can just imagine that you are carrying a PDA phone with a screen which looks exactly like the Sony PSP. Cool ain’t it?

Here are some cool specs for this gadget.

Processor :- Qualcomm® MSM 7201A™ 528 MHz
Memory:- 512 MB ROM & 288MB RAM
Camera:-5 megapixels camera with auto focus

The difference between Touch HD with Touch Diamond or Touch Pro is just the specs above including a 3.5 mm audio jack. Other than that, they are basically the same such as HSDPA, GPS, Bluetooth and so on.

Not to forget that Touch HD comes with a 1350mAh which should last longer than the predecessors but with the high resolution and bigger screen, I seriously doubt that it would actually last longer. In my opinion, the battery life would just the same as Touch Diamond, which really sucks!!

Although the battery life would seem like a problem for this gadget, but I really like the sleek, clean design and the looks of it. Yet, more and more phone makers (nokia, samsung, LG…) are coming out with this type of phone, all with a big wide touch screen, but not on Windows Mobile though…

Conclusion? With the cool looks of the phone, I’m sure it will make a big hit like the Touch Diamond once it is launched. The phone will only be out in December (if I’m not mistaken) so hopefully my hands will not get itchy to replace my current phone with this :lol: Maybe Santa will put one in my socks during Christmas time? :mrgreen:

Oh ya, did I mention before that I already owned a Touch Diamond since few months ago? Hmm.. Obviously not. My family and friends will sure scold me if I buy this phone in Christmas haha~ I guess I must change it secretly by that time, since the Diamond and HD looks quite alike, from far though… :twisted:

Bond Girl Catherine Mcqueen in Digi~

Catherine Mcqueen (the Bond Girl in the Bond Series – Die Another Day) was in Digi last Friday. Being an actress/DJ/Model herself, she was playing the music for our little party in the Courtyard that day. Frankly speaking, I don’t really recall her in that movie as it was quite some time ago. Do you remember her in the movie?

The small drinking session was quite fun, where there were cakes and satay served for all of us. And of course, free flow of beers were provided! :mrgreen: Haven’t eaten anything at all for the whole day, I was kinda ~~drunk~~ blur that day after having a few mugs of beer with satays. People always says that you don’t drink when your stomach is empty, don’t they? :p

Everyone gathered in front of the small stage where the DJ Catherine Mcqueen playing the trance music.

As time passed into the late evening, the big crowd was almost cleared and my manager and I decided to go in front and take a photo with her. She was very friendly though.

Gosh.. Look at the quality of the photo.. should’ve asked my colleague to take the photo with his 5 megapixel camera phone instead :lol: Party was over, and it’s time to go back to work. :wink:

Samsung Omnia Unboxing~

Set a Guinness World Record with FireFox~

As a FireFox 3 Beta user like myself, today will be a big step ahead as the complete FireFox version 3 will finally be launched today! In conjunction with the launch, SpreadFirefox.com is organizing a worldwide effort to put Firefox in the limelight by setting a Guinness World Record for the most software downloads in 24 hours.

All you need to do is just update your FireFox version to the latest version 3 by today, you will be helping the FireFox community to set this Guinness World Record.

HTC Touch Diamond Theme~

The long awaiting HTC Touch Diamond is already launched in Malaysia few weeks ago. To those who can’t afford to purchase this new PDA phone, or maybe you want to test out how the interface really looks like, you can try installing this theme to your PDA phone. Frankly speaking, this theme can actually amaze the people around you! :lol:

Let me present to you, the copycat version of HTC Touch Diamond TouchFlo 3D theme~ This is how it looks like on your PDA phone.

Of course, this theme is not as perfect as the original TouchFlo 3D on the Touch Diamond. There’s only 5 tabs available for the bottom bar and the 3D animations is not exactly the same as the original ones. Still, it looks really cool on your phone. Mind you that the time on the first screen won’t flip as the original ones :lol:

How to install this theme?

Download and install SPB Mobile Shell 2.1 into your PDA.
Download and install the HTC Touch Diamond theme.
Soft reset your phone and enjoy!

Make sure you watch the video on how SPB Mobile Shell works in SPB website as there are a lot of functions that you can use with this theme. For example, if you move your stylus or finger on the screen, the screen will actually flips to another screen with different views.

The theme comes in black by default. You need to download the color theme here. Follow the instructions given and you’ll be able to change the color to the ones you like!

HTC Touch Diamond~

Taiwan HTC made a big time a few weeks ago when they announced their latest product, the Apple i-Phone killer – HTC Touch Diamond. Born from a unique heritage of innovation and a deep desire to blend design with simplicity, the PDA phone comes with compact size, game-changing Internet and its new captivating 3D touch interface called TouchFLO 3D.

Let’s take a look at the hardware specifications first. The PDA phone is powered by 528MHz Qualcomm MSM 7201A processor, with internal memory 256MB ROM, 192MB RAM and most interesting part of all, the 4GB internal flash storage for personal file storage. The phone is HSDPA enabled, with broadband-like speed capability up to 7.5Mbps (but this definitely depends on how fast your mobile network is capable of I doubt there’s any mobile network in Malaysia is capable of providing you that kind of speed and bandwidth!)

Happy Labour Day~

For those working folks out there, Happy Labour Day to all! This is the day where all (well, mostly all though) working folks can have a day off and rest at home. So chill out, relax and don’t even try to think anything about your job today. You are not supposed to do your work today!

As for me, I’m already back in my hometown, enjoying myself with a cold chilled beer in a sunny, humid hot day at home. Have fun everyone! :lol:
