Disclosure Policy~

disclosure policy As paid by blogging services like Reviewme and PayPerPost, increasing day by day, we sometimes might wonder whether a blogger is actually receiving payment for certain content. Their opinion on certain topics might differ just because the they were being sponsored to post it. This is where Disclosure Policy comes in handy.

Why disclose?

By disclosing the purpose of a blog, bloggers are letting readers know more about the information they’ll be reviewing. Bloggers retain the freedom to write original content, as well as select which advertisers they will represent in exchange for gifts or money. Any ethical concerns will remain where they’ve always been – on the individual level. Because it is a blogger’s freedom to select which topics will bring them payment, he/she remains responsible for his/her own reputation.

I think this is a great idea. Without disclosing the purpose of a blog or a post, readers will felt being cheated if they found out that the post is actually a sponsored post. This seriously affects the reputation of a blog. I’ve seen some blogs posting contents without disclosing that they were being paid for posting it. I only realized those are paid contents when I saw those topics listed in PayPerPost open opportunities list. That is not ethical at all, doesn’t it?

The site provides service to generate your own disclosure policy. The steps of generating the policy is simple.
