Happy Labour Day~

For those working folks out there, Happy Labour Day to all! This is the day where all (well, mostly all though) working folks can have a day off and rest at home. So chill out, relax and don’t even try to think anything about your job today. You are not supposed to do your work today!

As for me, I’m already back in my hometown, enjoying myself with a cold chilled beer in a sunny, humid hot day at home. Have fun everyone!

Earth Hour 2008 - 8PM March 29~

earth-hour-full.jpgIt started with a question: How can we inspire people to take action on climate change?

The answer: Ask the people of Sydney to turn off their lights for one hour.

About Earth Hour On March 31 2007, for one hour, Sydney made a powerful statement about the greatest contributor to global warming – coal-fired electricity – by turning off its lights. Over 2.2 million Sydney residents and over 2,100 businesses switched off, leading to a 10.2% energy reduction across the city. What began as one city taking a stand against global warming caught the attention of the world. If the greenhouse reduction achieved in the Sydney CBD during Earth Hour was sustained for a year, it would be equivalent to taking 48,616 cars off the road for a year.

Defragment XP System Files (Page File and Registry)

In order to increase your system performance, a regular defragment task for all the drives should be performed. This is to prevent your drive from fragmented. But how do you defragment the system files then? The problem is that Windows XP doesn’t allow certain system files to be defragmented due to the files are open for exclusive access. Thus, standard defragmentation programs can neither show you how fragmented your paging files or Registry hives are, nor defragment them. System files fragmentation can lead to performance degradation of your system.

DanceJam Now Open Beta~

headerasset.pngEver tired of watching YouTube? DanceJam is a bit different from YouTube where it is only for dance videos. DanceJam is now launched into open beta after several months of private testing.

Here, you get to watch dance battles where users dance off against each other, and you can cast your vote for the best dance videos. I watched a few of the dance battles, some of the dance moves are really awesome! But there were some who are competing with different standards though   DanceJam also offers general dance videos, including locally uploaded content and videos from external sites such YouTube.

Balloon Fashion Show~

These photos are taken from a Balloon Fashion Show held in China, where balloons were turn from party fun into amazing art! Don’t drop your jaws while looking at it!

Happy CNY and Chinese Valentine’s Day~

It’s been quite long since the last post, and I myself can’t even believe that I’m writing a post on Happy Chinese New Year on the last day of Chinese New Year!

ist2_1201776_mandarin_oranges_in_hands.jpgToday is the 15th day of Chinese New Year, where people called it as “Chap Goh Meh” here. In traditions, it is considered as the Chinese Valentine’s Day. On this day, the all unmarried ladies and guys will gather by the river, where the ladies will throw mandarin oranges (with their names on it - if I’m correct :) ) from the bridge into the river, and the guys will pick the oranges from below. I know you knew how the stories goes… The guys will get to go out for a date with the girls whose names are on the oranges the guys picked up… (I really hope that this story I wrote here is correct… :P )

New Office Launched~

It was 3rd of December when we first moved into this new office. New surroundings, new equipments, everything just felt fresh! A week after that, it was the official launching of our new office. Here’s some photos of the launching day~

It feels great to finally move to our new office. Previously, we were based in another building where our office was a bit like data center while all other departments’ staffs were enjoying their comfy cool office in the main building. We were a bit “isolated” back then  . Now we are all based in the same building finally (although our office is situated at another side of the building).
